Prof. Sikander Hayat

Prof. Sikander Hayat is a Co-Founder of SEQUANTRIX. He is a computational biologist with strong background in single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, multi-omics data analyses, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He is on a quest to reveal novel insights into disease biology and discover drug targets in a data-driven manner.

Sikander is Associate Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Human Health, Icahn School of Medicine and Associate Professor at The Cardiovascular Research Institute at Mount Sinai, New York.

Sikander is also a Group Leader, Translational Data Science, at the Institute of Experimental Medicine and Systems Biology at the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. Sikander previously held various positions at Bayer (Science Fellow, Senior Computational Biologist at Bayer-Broad Institute Joint Precision Cardiology Lab, Research Scientist), was Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and a Senior Post-Doc at Harvard Medical School and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Sikander advises SEQUANTRIX on translational data science and applications of AI.
